Description

The SV08 from Sovol is an open-source FDM 3D printer that impresses with its uncompromising performance and flexibility. While the combination of Klipper firmware, 40,000 mm/s² acceleration and up to 700 mm/s printing speed enables extremely fast and precise printing results, the huge build volume of 350 x 350 x 345 mm also offers tremendous freedom for your creative projects!

Large build volume for maximum creativity

Whether large-format prototypes, detailed design objects or unusual decorations, with its generous build volume of 350 x 350 x 345 mm, SV08 offers you the flexibility to turn all your ideas into reality.

CoreXY motion system for higher speeds

The SV08 uses a stable CoreXY motion system to reduce the amount of moving mass, improve the movements of the axes and thereby achieve higher acceleration and speed:

Precise linear guide rails for 7 axes

The SV08 is equipped with precise linear guide rails for its 7 axes (4Z+2Y+1X) to ensure higher accuracy and optimise resistance to axial deformation. The stable linear rails ensure a smooth, even movement of the axes throughout the entire printing process.

4 powerful, independent Z-motors

Thanks to 4 independent Z-motors, the entire gantry system of the printer can be levelled with ease. The so-called Quad Gantry Leveling (QGL) enables greater precision, ensures that fewer printing errors can occur, and can detect or compensate for wear and damage.

The stabilising damping motors ensure, among other things, that in the event of a power failure or running out of filament, the gantry does not unexpectedly “sink” or the printing process is interrupted.

Extruder with planetary gear

The combination of a unique drive train design and a gear ratio of 5.2:1 ensures better printing accuracy and reliability, higher extrusion force and the ability to process a wide range of materials.

Ceramic heating block and AC heated bed

The SV08 uses a ceramic heater block and an electrically heated AC bed to heat up the hotend and heatbed faster. This means you don't waste time waiting and can start printing almost immediately.

Fast cooling through efficient fans

The SV08 is equipped with a 5020 fan (10000 rpm) and a 3010 fan (15000 rpm). The air flow created in the air duct cools the filament from three sides and ensures that the material is dried quickly enough even during high-speed printing.

Integrated camera for time-lapse

A built-in camera allows you to monitor your 3D printing in real time or take time-lapse videos to share with other 3D printing enthusiasts.

Get the most out of Klipper Firmware

To help you get the maximum performance and precision out of your 3D printing process, the SV08 uses Klipper firmware. Klipper allows your 3D printer to respond much faster to G-code commands, resulting in smoother movements.

The optimised control with Input Shaper reduces vibrations in the printer, which in turn improves the print quality and the surface finish of the object.

In addition, the Pressure Advance function ensures consistent results from one corner of the print object to the other. The PID control helps to minimise temperature fluctuations in the nozzle and the heated bed.

Remote control

The SV08 can be controlled remotely via WiFi or an Ethernet connection. This means you always have access to the versatile functions that this 3D printer offers.

Additional features:

  • Z-offset compensation with pressure sensors to automatically measure the distance between the nozzle and the build plate,
  • Important components of the hotend as a module for easier assembly and maintenance.
