Product information & technical details
Description
The 24V Phaetus Rapido Plus 2 Hotends are the perfect choice for printing with high temperature and fibre filaments! They are compatible with countless materials and are designed for temperatures of up to a maximum of 350 °C.
There are two versions of the Rapido Plus 2 Hotend :
- Rapido Plus Hotend 2 HF (High Flow):
The HF version is compatible with V6 nozzles.
- Rapido Plus Hotend 2 UHF (Ultra High Flow):
The UHF version is also compatible with V6 nozzles. The enclosed V6-compatible extension nut made of plated copper is required for quick nozzle changes.
Features of the Rapido Plus 2 Hotends at a glance:
New heater block design for high-speed printing
The new heater block design features a larger melting zone to meet the needs of high-speed, high-temperature printing.
Titanium heatbreak
Compared to the stainless steel heatbreak of the Rapido Plus Hotends, Rapido Plus 2 Hotends have a heatbreak made of strong and light titanium. This robust material is characterised by lower thermal conductivity and less cooling capacity required, as well as excellent thermal insulation. This ensures better extrusion control and higher print quality.
The optimised structure also reduces the risk of deformation and clogging.
Ceramic heater planar structure
The 90-watt ceramic heater of the Rapido Plus Hotend 2 has a planar structure that is characterised by high reliability and higher heating output. To illustrate, the heating element heats up to 200°C in an incredible 35 seconds!
Removable thermistor
Rapido Plus Hotend 2 uses a removable PT1000 thermistor that is easy to service and replace.
Quickly switch between high-flow & ultra-high-flow printheads
A unique structural design enables fast switching between high-flow and ultra-high-flow printheads. The different nozzle types meet the needs of high-temperature and fibre filament printing.
The adapter included in the delivery allows you to quickly switch between the hotends to meet any requirements. With a few simple twists you can set the optimal flow rate!
Nozzle change with one hand
The titanium alloy screws, which ensure a firm connection between the heating block and the heat sink, are characterised by low thermal conductivity. This rigid structure allows for easy one-handed nozzle changing.
Danger! Although Rapido Plus Hotend and Rapido Plus Hotend 2 have the same dimensions, their heating element and heatsink are different. Therefore, these cannot be interchanged.
Tip: The maximum flow rate during extrusion is 52 mm³/s.

Excellent hotend
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
Bought this for my Trident and coupled it with a Diamondback nozzle.
One handed nozzle changes and the great flow rates (with the option to go UHF as well) makes this my favorite hotend out there. Print quality is great!
It heats up very fast and comes with two nozzles out of the box. I'm pretty sure that that one is a .4 mm copper plated nozzle, and the other one is a .4 mm hardened steel nozzle. I didn't confirm this because I never used them.
