Description
The Formfutura Platinum LCD Resin Series is a range of general purpose photopolymer LCD resins designed specifically for all open source LCD and DLP 3D printers in the range of 385 to 420 nm.
The Platinum LCD resin is virtually odourless and enables 3D printing of objects with extremely high accuracy and relatively short curing times.
Unique features:
- Low odour (almost odourless)
- Fast printing with short curing times
- High precision
- No discolouration and/or yellowing
- Low shrinkage
- Compatible with all open source LCDs and DLPs in the range of 385 - 420 nm
Preparations before printing:
- Shake the bottle for at least 2 minutes before each use.
- After shaking the bottle, allow the resin to rest for 10 minutes to allow air bubbles to escape from the resin
- The resin can be returned from the basin into the bottle after printing has been completed
- Always use protective equipment such as safety glasses and nitrile gloves when handling resins.

Post processing
We recommend postprocessing your 3D printing to achieve the material properties.
- Rinse your 3D printed object for about 5 minutes in IPA or (bio) ethanol (an ultrasonic cleaner is preferred/recommended)
- Ensure that items rinsed with IPA and/or (bio) ethanol are completely dry before further post-curing.
- Place the rinsed parts in a well-ventilated area for at least 30 minutes or use compressed air for at least 2 minutes
- Harden your object in a high-performance curing chamber for about 20 to 30 minutes at 65 ° C (the curing wavelength is between 300 and 410 nm)

good resin
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
With elegoo mars pro about 8s/layer seems to work the best. The prints seem to inflate a little bit so the smallest details on miniatures seem to disappear a little compared to some other resins and supports close to model might get welded to the model. Other than that it seems to be good resin and you can barely smell anything at all even when standing right next to the open resin bottle or filled vat. If you want a resin without any smell and don't mind losing minor details or adding the supports further from the model, this is the resin for you. You still get good miniatures out of this stuff

Major T.
Rated with 1 out of 5 stars.
after succesfull 3d printhing with phrozen aqua grey 4k and aqua green. i thought i would try i more expensive resin from formfutura for more reliability and hopefully less smell. i never had a succesfull print with this resin. bad adhesion to the bed, layer separation and my curing times were already way to long because there was no detail in my prints. everything in callibration prints blended together.... i also tried using this resin as a coating on fdm prints what works great with my other resins. this resin for this application als gives me bad results because i had trouble to properly cure it. in general: i would not recommend this expensive resin.
