Description
Spectrum PLA Tough is a 3D printing filament that has been specially modified. The overall modifications were aimed at improving the properties of this material at the monomer level, allowing a wide range of applications. It is an excellent solution for printing functional parts with similar mechanical properties to ABS while maintaining the ease of printing and low shrinkage of PLA. Spectrum PLA Tough eliminates the disadvantages of PLA and ABS. Thanks to the change of material composition, it is possible to print objects of any size and on a different surface (a heated bed is not necessary).
With Spectrum's PLA Touch, additives have modified the polymer structure, which allows the following:
- Low shrinkage
- Good adhesion to the printing bed
- Higher impact strength of the printed elements compared to their ABS equivalents
- Low brittleness
- Matte surface
- No unpleasant odours and fumes
Packaging
The filament is wound up on the clean, transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum-packed with a desiccant.
