Description
Polymaker PC-PBT
Polymaker ™ PC-PBT is a PC / PBT polymer blend that offers good heat resistance and toughness at low temperatures (-20 ° C / -30 ° C). Polymaker ™ PC-PBT is also characterised by good chemical resistance.
Polymaker ™ PC-PBT can be printed on almost any surface with a thin layer of Magigoo PC. We recommend a flex plate to make it easier to remove the model from the plate.
We recommend a full metal hot end that maintains a stable temperature of at least 260 ° C. We also recommend using a heated chamber that can reach at least 80 ° C.
We recommend annealing all models printed in Polymaker ™ PC-PBT. This allows users to take full advantage of the mechanical and thermal properties. When tempering, the model is placed in an oven at 90 ° C for 2 hours.
PolyDissolve ™ S2 is the recommended support material for Polymaker ™ PC-PBT.

Very tough material with very high layer adhesion
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I used it for functional prototypes (gas spring alike) for rod end and cylinder mount and was surprised by it's strength. I needed material that has good mechanical properties, high temperature resistance and moderate chemical resistance.
Be careful with suppor. Because of high layer adhesion of this material, it is pretty hard to remove it and keep the aesthetics. Maybe my slicer setting also need some fine tuning in this regard.
I also made some post machining in the lathe on the printed parts, where precision fit was needed. If you use H01 type of insert it machines very nicely.
Slicer settings I used for small parts: nozzle 255°C, build plate: 110°C, layer height: 0,12mm, retraction: 1,5mm, extra prime amount 0,025
Build plate: Triangle lab powder coated PEI + Magigoo for PC
