Description
Protopasta's HTPLA is a tough PLA material that prints similarly easily to standard PLA, but is much more powerful and cost-effective. With a practical heat resistance of more than 140°C after heat treatment, parts printed with it retain their strength and shape, allowing them to withstand much higher temperatures.
Matt Fibre HTPLA
The Mate Fibre HTPLA is the perfect alternative to carbon and fibreglass materials. The filament is based on plant fibres, which give it a carbon-like texture and shine.
Tips:
- Compared to standard HTPLA, Matt Fibre HTPLA has better dimensional stability.
- The plant fibres improve the adhesion of adhesives and coatings.
- While Carbon Fibre HTPLA requires a wear-resistant nozzle, Matt Fibre HTPLA does not require any special nozzles or equipment for its processing.
- This material is not overly brittle, but is stiff, causing it to break under excessive stress.
- The Matt Fibre HTPLA can be printed on unheated print beds.
