Description
The ecoPLA Matt has been slightly modified to make it perfect for 3D printing applications.
PLA (polylactic acid) is a non-toxic biodegradable 3D printing material.
3DJake ecoPLA Matt is a cheap & high-quality alternative for many printers.
PLA is one of the most popular 3D printing materials due to its features and good printability.
The properties of the ecoPLA Matt by 3DJake:
- Matt surface (low refraction of light)
- Minimal shrinkage
- Minimal warping
- Good diameter and roundness tolerances
- No unpleasant odours
- Easy to print
- Tougher & less brittle than conventional Matt PLA filament
3DJake ecoPLA Matt Filament can be used with almost any FDM 3D printer.

Fragile and Oozey
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
The finish of this filament is really interesting. It's not just matte, it has a textured finish that diffuses any reflections and efficiently obscures the lines, Like the classic woolly sheep but on a much finer scale. Unfortunately it's just not worth the post processing to remove the all the stringing caused by the extreme amount of oozing. Even just holding of 180c causes filament to pour out the nozzle like no filament I've ever used before. It is also quite fragile between the layers so I cannot use it for functional prints.
Initially, given the texture and oozing, I assumed that the filament was wet. However, while the overall print quality did improve after I dried it the oozing did not.Was this rating helpful? (7) (1)

Incredibly oozy and layeradhesion isnt great at lower temperature
Rated with 2 out of 5 stars.
I bought the filament to test the matt finish and it is quite nice indeed. Its stilll not matt like "chalk board paint" but it has some texture and rough prints look quite nice.
BUT: The temperature range from 205 to 225 is absurd. I have a calibrated hotend and i made temperature towers down to 160°! I printed it at 175° on a volcano hotend. Above these its viscosity is like water... as someone else mentioned it is more like printing low temperature wood filament. At this low temperature stringing is ok, but layer adhesion is not the best.
I cannot recommend this filament. Was this rating helpful? (1) (0)

Best Matt Filament On The Market
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
This filament is the best matt filament I have tried. A common trend with matt filaments is the poor layer adhesion but I found with this filament it only took a little tuning (less cooling and 105% instead of 95% extrusion, your tuning may vary) and the issue went away. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to try matt filament.

Excellent
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
This is the best filament i've used so far. The matte finish helps hide the layer lines and has given me the best finish of any PLA yet. I have read reviews and to comment on the person who is having the bad layer adhesion, I would suggest increasing your flow or checking the calibration on the E steps. I'm just about to order my 3rd spool of this.

Forgiving, good PLA
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
First of all, not sure who Matt is, but moving on. This matte PLA looks good and is unbelievably forgiving - I just printed a temperature tower for it before printing with it and forgot I'd disconnected the part cooling fan (replacing it).... I didn't even notice on the tower! This stuff is great and prints great, at a broad spectrum of temperatures - it looked great from 195 all the way up to 225 on my printer, normally a tower is obvious what temperature looks best. It was so good at so many temperature bands I really had to look hard to decide
