Mireille Brandes
Mimics: Recycle Art, Paper&Cardboard Sculpture and Ceramics
The dialogue with faces as masks and physiognomies is expressed by Mireille Brandes first exhibition - shown at the upper floor of the Gallery: Mireille's "Mimics" are actually the feelings that live underneath; they are the face without a mask.
The tri-dimensional series uses sophisticated techniques of paper and cardboard sculpture, as well as ceramics. Most of Mireille's work is recycle art – a medium which KAYMA intends to research and encourage in Israel.
