Description

3D printers can make loud noises that can be very annoying or very distracting. Most 3D printer noise is due to vibrations generated by moving parts and motors. This vibration can be transmitted to any object the printer comes into contact with, e.g. on a desk, workstation or shelf. This object then acts as an amplifier for unwanted noise.

3dB anti-vibration foot pad

3dB are small foot pads designed to reduce noise against vibrations and help isolate the vibrations from the 3D printer.

The low profile offers good stability, so 3dB does not allow excessive play even when printing at higher speeds. Print quality is maintained and some printing problems can even be improved, e.g. the reduction of ghosting/ringing.

3dB is particularly effective for 3D printer farms with multiple 3D printers when the noise level can reach unpleasant amounts. In these situations, 3dB can be really beneficial to the work environment.
